One of South Africa’s top performers in Europe is reportedly a target for the Dragons as the Vodacom URC outfit look to bolster their squad for the 2025-26 campaign.
According to WalesOnline, flyhalf Tinus de Beer is one of two players on the Dragons’ radar after his big impact in his debut season with Cardiff.
The former Bulls and playmaker Griquas, who helped the Pumas clinch the Currie Cup in 2022, showcased his ability by starting 21 of 22 matches in 2023-24 for the Welsh club and amassing 148 points.

However, De Beer has started only once in four appearances so far this season, and contributed 11 points. With his contract set to expire at the end of 2024-25, the Dragons see the 28-year-old as another option at No 10, alongside Lloyd Evans and Will Reed.
The Dragons are also targeting a tighthead prop, with Wales international Dillon Lewis reportedly on their wish list.
