The DHL Stormers have confirmed that Junior Pokomela and Clayton Blommetjies have both been ruled out of Friday night’s clash against Ulster due to injury.
Pokomela and Blommetjies had been named to start in the Vodacom United Rugby Championship clash in Belfast.
However, with both being ruled out of the match, substitutes Marcel Theunissen and Kade Wolhuter have been promoted to the starting lineup.
Lock Conor Evans and hooker Andre-Hugo Venter have been called onto the bench, meaning the Stormers will switch to a six-two split between replacement forwards and backs. Herschel Jantjies and Juan de Jongh will be the only two backline replacements.
Some late changes to our team with Junior Pokomela and Clayton Blommetjies out injured. Marcel Theunissen and Kade Wolhuter replace them in the starting line-up, with Connor Evans and Andre-Hugo Venter coming onto the bench. #ULSvSTO #iamastormer #dhldelivers @Vodacom #URC pic.twitter.com/OkkFfhFszj
