Stormers too strong in lineouts

The Stormers’ lineout supremacy again paved the way for their 22-3 bonus-point win over the Force in Perth on Saturday, according to's Opta-powered statistics.

This season the Cape-based side has emerged as the No 1-ranked team for lineouts stolen (28), while the Force have notably had the second-worst lineout success rate in the competition (83.1%).

It was an area for the Stormers to exploit on Saturday, and they did just that, with the visitors stealing five lineouts, while creating two tries that originated from their supremacy at this set piece.

Eben Etzebeth was again outstanding at lineout time, with his ability to read and contest opposition ball proving to be yet another impressive strength that he has added to his all-round game.
