Former Sharks and Springbok No 8 Ryan Kankowski is set to join Irish side Ulster.

According to reports, Ulster are poised to announce two big-name signings, with Kankowski expected to be one of them.

He is currently contracted to the Springbok Sevens, with his Blitzboks deal running until the Olympics in August, but the athletic loose forward then looks set to head abroad.

Former Sharks fullback Louis Ludik is also apparently set to sign a contract extension with Ulster.
