Billy and Mako Vunipola have both returned to Premiership side Saracens after a personal trip to Tonga, with the latter available for selection this weekend.
Saracens have seemingly contradicted reports from the England camp after confirming that Mako Vunipola could play in Saturday’s match against the Leicester Tigers.
Vunipola was ruled out of this weekend’s Six Nations match between England and Wales with an unspecified ‘medical issue’.
However, the loosehead prop has been cleared for action after being assessed by the Saracens medical staff.
A statement from the club said the brothers returned via a flight which included a short stop in Hong Kong, which has reported cases of the coronavirus.
‘Travellers returning from Hong Kong are not currently subject to mandatory quarantine or self-isolation unless they become symptomatic,’ the statement read.
‘Neither Billy nor Mako have displayed symptoms of the coronavirus [Covid-19] and on their return to London were assessed by the club’s medical staff.
‘The duo have been around the Saracens environment for the past couple of days, with the latter available for selection this weekend.’
