Waratahs hooker Tolu Latu has received a six-week suspension after pleading guilty to dangerous play.

Latu was cited for diving into a ruck during their clash with the Sunwolves in Tokyo, resulting in flanker Ed Quirk being stretchered off the field with a knee injury.

The three-man Sanzaar foul play review committee deemed it a top-end offence, which carries a 10-week penalty, but reduced it given the time since Latu’s last offence – and his remorse.

The 26-year-old is free to play again on 20 April.
