Kurtley Beale marked his long-awaited return from injury with a try for the Force in a heavy defeat against the defending champion Blues at Eden Park on Friday.
The 36-year-old playmaker, who had been sidelined since June 2024 with a ruptured Achilles, finished off a sweeping move by the visitors in Auckland.

With both teams needing victory to keep in touch with the top six in the race for the Super Rugby Pacific finals, Cole Forbes scored a brace of tries and Beauden Barrett kicked 10 points to help secure a 40-19 bonus-point win for Vern Cotter’s men.

The result sees the Blues climb to sixth on the table before action in round 12 resumes on Saturday, while the Force are one place behind also on 22 points but with a less favourable points differential (-59).
