Makazole Mapimpi made his debut for the NTT Docomo Red Hurricanes on Saturday, with the Springbok wing only featuring in the first half of a pre-season game against the Shimizu Blue Sharks.
Mapimpi was on debut alongside fellow Saffas Franco Marais, Wimpie van der Walt, Lourens Erasmus, Ruan Vermaak and Tyler Paul.
The Springbok wing worked hard to get involved, with the ball not coming his way often, and he almost provided an assist for Marais, who failed to catch the ball a few metres out from the tryline.
