Paul Roos Gymnasium beat New Zealand’s Westlake Boys High in the semi-finals of the World Schools Festival in Abu Dhabi on Thursday.

The South African schoolboys powered into an 11-0 half-time lead and then held on for an 11-7 win after Westlake were awarded a penalty try. The result teed up Paul Roos to face Westlake’s Auckland rivals, Kelston Boys High in the final, while Westlake will take on Millfield School (England) in the playoff for third.
