The Reds snatched a late win in Sydney, where Waratahs star Joseph Suaalii departed on a medical cart, while the Blues surged into the top five in Friday’s Super Rugby action.
Les Kiss’ Reds overcame a 14-0 deficit to triumph 28-21 at a rain-soaked Allianz Stadium, with Filipo Daugunu’s perfectly weighted kick finding Lachie Anderson for the decisive try.

However, Wallabies boss Joe Schmidt will be sweating over Suaalii, who was stretchered off with a neck injury that could sideline the playmaker for the British & Irish Lions tour.
The match featured three yellow cards in a physical clash that saw Tom Lynagh also exit early after a head knock, leaving the Tahs’ finals hopes in jeopardy.

Meanwhile, the Blues dismantled the Fijian Drua 34-5 in Suva. The defending champions’ front row stole the show.
Props Marcel Renata, Joshua Fusitu’a and Angus Ta’avao all crossed the whitewash, complemented by tries from Taufa Funaki and Cole Forbes before Selestino Ravutaumada scored a late consolation for the bottom-placed hosts.
