Toyota Verblitz have announced the signing of fullback Willie le Roux, and the appointment of Gert Smal as the new forwards coach for the 2019-20 season.

Le Roux will join the likes of Reniel Hugo, Jason Jenkins, Carl Wegner, Lionel Cronjé, Clinton Swart and Gio Aplon at the club, where Jake White is head coach.

Verblitz also confirmed that Smal will join White’s management as the team’s forwards coach. Smal’s term as Western Province director of rugby comes to an end in October, but it is believed he will leave for Japan well before then.
