Stormers fullback Damian Willemse has been suspended for a high tackle on Cardiff wing Gabe Hamer-Webb.
Willemse was red-carded in the 58th minute of the Vodacom URC match at Cape Town Stadium last Friday. According to Rugby365, the 27-year-old pleaded guilty in order to receive a more lenient sentence.
He was given a six-match ban, which was reduced by 50% due to his good disciplinary record and other mitigating factors (see below), with another match removed if he agreed to attend “tackle school”.

Willemse will therefore miss the Stormers’ URC quarter-final against Glasgow on 30 May and their semi-final should they reach that stage.
If they don’t, the 39-Test Bok will miss the non-cap match against the Barbarians in Cape Town on 8 June.
