Kiwis to test new scoring system

A try will be worth six points in New Zealand's National Provincial Championship next year.

The adjusted scoring system, which also sees penalties reduced from three points to two, forms part of World Rugby’s trials at making the game more attacking and appealing as a whole.

Earlier this month it was announced New Zealand would also be testing a dual-ref system in the NPC next year a long with amendments to the offside line and breakdown laws.
