• Kockott joining Toulon?

South African scrumhalf Rory Kockott has reportedly agreed a move to Toulon with club owner Mourad Boudjellal.

The 2012 Top 14 Player of the Year is yet to sign a new deal with Castres, where he has had great success, but Boudjellal insists that Kockott has decided that he’ll be playing in Toulon colours next season, reports the ERC newswire.

‘He confirmed to me via telephone that he would come here next year. We want to believe him,’ said Boudjellal, adding weight to initial reports in October regarding the signing.

If Kockott were to join Toulon, he would link up with other fellow Saffas such as Bryan Habana, Bakkies Botha, and Juan Smith, along with other internationals Matt Giteau, Drew Mitchell, Delon Armitage and Johnny Wilkinson.

Boudjellal is also reportedly in talks with Wales fullback Leigh Halfpenny to bring the 24-year-old to the French club.
