SARugbymag.co.za readers did not hesitate to crown Springbok speedster Bryan Habana a superior finisher to Wales legend Shane Williams.
Never in doubt, Habana smashed Williams out of the race from the get-go to finish with 91% of the vote.
Williams, who was on a hot streak after blitzing Chris Ashton in the first round and beating Doug Howlett to the try line in the second, bows out of the series, making way for Habana to replace the Welsh wonder as the current leader with two rounds to go.
Watch: Damian too quick to drop it!
The world’s second leading try scorer and South Africa’s most prolific finisher of all time, Habana scored 67 tries in 124 caps for the Springboks.
At club and provincial levels, he holds two Super Rugby titles, two Currie Cup titles, two European Cups, and a Top 14 title.
Habana’s international career is also nothing short of stellar, winning the World Cup in 2007, the Tri-Nations and Lions series in 2009, while raking in personal accolades along the way like IRB’s 2007 Player of the Year as well as three SARU Player of the Year awards (2005, 2007 and 2012).
