New Zealand scrumhalf Aaron Smith has named his all-time dream back seven, which includes two World Cup-winning Springboks.
Selecting his best of the best in response to a social media post, Smith’s lineup includes multiple World Cup winners and former World Player of the Year winners, and no less than four Kiwis and one Irishman.
Fourie du Preez, who stood out as one of the most influential players in the Boks’ 2007 World Cup triumph, and again in the successful 2009 British & Irish Lions series, links up with All Blacks icon Dan Carter at halfback.

Bryan Habana, who holds the record with iconic All Blacks wing Jonah Lomu for the highest number of tries scored at Rugby World Cups (15), lines up at right wing – Lomu and fellow Kiwi Ben Smith complete the back three.
Former Ireland and British & Irish Lions skipper Brian O’Driscoll and Kiwi Ma’a Nonu combine in midfield to close out the star-studded group.
