All five local teams have qualified for the round of 16 in EPCR competition, and four SA-born players were awarded with places in the best XV from the final pool clashes of the 2022-23 Champions Cup.
A win for the DHL Stormers on Saturday saw the inaugural Vodacom United Rugby Championship winners secure a home playoff, while despite losing to Harlequins away, the Sharks did enough to get a home match in the Champions Cup playoffs. The Bulls, beaten at Lyon last time out, will again play away from the comfort of the Highveld in the knockouts.
