Du Plessis was the only South African to be included in Midi Olympique‘s Team of the Weekend, based on performances in the fourth and final round of the Champions Cup.

The 27-year-old inside centre scored a second-half try as the Stormers came from behind to beat Clermont 30-16 and secure a home fixture in the round of 16.
Along with his try, Du Plessis made 54 metres from 13 carries – only Damian Willemse and Clermont wing Bautista Delguy made more metres – and one offload, before he was replaced in the 68th minute.
