Kurt-Lee Arendse shot the lights out for the Springboks and Vodacom Bulls in 2023, and capped off a sensational year by helping South Africa win a record fourth World Cup title.
The fleet-footed outside back picked up where he had left off in 2022, dazzling fans with his pace, skill and try-scoring prowess.
BEST OF 2023: Springboks do it again!
Arendse opened his 2023 account with a breathtaking intercept try at Lyon in the Champions Cup, followed by a touchdown against Ulster, and a brace of tries versus Leinster, in the Vodacom URC.
The 27-year-old continued his red-hot form in the green and gold by grabbing three tries as the Boks put Australia to the sword in the 2023 Rugby Championship opener in Pretoria, before his superb finish in the historic win over the All Blacks at Twickenham.
The former Blitzbok star marked his World Cup debut with panache, scoring the opening try of South Africa’s campaign, and dotted down against hosts France to take his international tally to 13 in 15 Tests.
Arendse brought the curtain down on a memorable 12 months with scores against the Sharks and Stormers, and his flourishing partnership with Willie le Roux and Canan Moodie at the Bulls bodes well for the national team.
