New Zealand will be able to call on the speed of fit-again outside backs Will Jordan and Mark Telea when the All Blacks face the Springboks in Auckland on Saturday.
Jordan (migrainous condition) and Telea (knee strain) both missed New Zealand’s trip to Argentina in the opening round of the Rugby Championship, where the All Blacks claimed a 41-12 win over Los Pumas.
In a massive boost for the All Blacks, forwards coach Jason Ryan said that they have almost a fully fit group to pick from for the clash against the Boks, confirming that both Jordan and Telea are available for selection.
Telea, who scored 12 tries in 13 Super Rugby games for the Blues this year, is expected to contend for the No 14 jersey with Emoni Narawa, who made an encouraging try-scoring debut against Argentina.
Crusaders fullback Jordan could replace Beauden Barrett in the No 15 jersey, allowing the Blues’ playmaker to play off the bench as an impact player.
Meanwhile, Ryan added that veteran lock Sam Whitelock is close to returning from an Achilles tendon injury, but refused to rubber-stamp his availability for the match at Mount Smart Stadium.
