The Blitzboks will reportedly kick off the 2023-24 sevens campaign in December without the services of a key member of their management team.
The South Africans launch their Dubai sevens title defence against Samoa on 2 December, before a clash against last season’s overall champions, New Zealand.
In the rebranded SVNS Series, the two-day tournament in the desert marks the start of the new season, and South Africa, Samoa, New Zealand, and Canada have been assigned to Group A.

According to a report on Netwerk24, Blitzbok head coach Sandile Ngcobo had heel surgery this week which will probably prevent him from travelling to Dubai.
Ngcobo, who it is understood fell during a training session, underwent an operation on Wednesday afternoon. Assistant coach Philip Snyman is expected to take charge in his absence.
