Munster’s progression to the Vodacom United Rugby Championship semi-finals came at a cost as RG Snyman and Peter O’Mahony suffered injuries against Glasgow Warriors.
Munster secured an Irish derby semi-final against Leinster by claiming a 14-5 quarter-final victory away to Glasgow at Scotstoun.
However, the challenge of beating the number one-ranked team in the Vodacom URC was made even tougher as Munster suffered a number of key injuries in the quarter-final clash.
Springbok lock Snyman was forced off the field with a concussion in the 20th minute and did not return after failing the Head Injury Assessment (HIA).
It is the second time in short succession that Snyman has suffered a concussion, as he also picked up a head injury in the penultimate round against the DHL Stormers in Cape Town. The concussion forced him to miss the final-round match against the Sharks in Durban.
Munster could also be without inspirational captain Peter O’Mahony after the veteran Ireland flank suffered an arm injury.
