Springbok winger Cheslin Kolbe and his family emerged unscathed from the recent 7.5-magnitude earthquake in Japan.
The quake, which struck on New Year’s Day, caused widespread devastation across Japan, including in Tokyo, where Kolbe and his wife, Layla, and three children currently live.
The double world champion and European Challenge Cup winner moved to the Far East to join Japanese club Tokyo Sungoliath this season.
Layla reportedly shared their experience on Instagram, while assuring family, friends and fans of their safety.
