Nine different teams and a few South Africans feature in a Champions Cup Team of the Tournament based on statistics from the Opta Index.
Two Springboks made the cut for the best Champions Cup team: Makazole Mapimpi and Andre Esterhuizen.

Mapimpi scored three tries as the Sharks progressed to the quarter-finals, where they were ultimately knocked out by Toulouse. The Bok speedster also beat 23 defenders, made eight clean breaks and five offloads.
Esterhuizen, meanwhile, scored four tries for Harlequins, as the English side progressed through their pool before being beaten by the DHL Stormers in Cape Town in the round of 16. The big centre completed 35 tackles, beat 10 defenders and made five clean breaks.
Also representing South Africa is Scotland-capped former Vodacom Bulls loosehead prop Pierre Schoeman, who was a powerhouse in Edinburgh’s scrum.
