Two forgotten Springbok stars have been named in the Barbarians squad for a clash against the All Blacks XV in London on Sunday.
Bok wings Dillyn Leyds and Raymond Rhule were selected by co-coaches Ronan O’Gara and Scott Robertson in a lineup packed full of flair and talent to take on the New Zealanders at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The 10-Test-capped Leyds and Rhule, who boasts seven outings in the green and gold, are set to feature in a backline that includes All Black speedsters George Bridge and Charles Ngatai.
The clash against the All Blacks XV is the first of four upcoming matches for the Barbarians who will also face Harlequins (Thursday, 17 November), Bath (Sunday, 20 November) and Northampton Saints (Saturday, 26 November).
Competing for the Killik Cup, the Barbarians will be up against a very strong All Blacks XV team, with Blues lock Patrick Tuipulotu to lead a Kiwi side that includes seven players with Test experience including Aidan Ross, Angus Ta’avao, Asafo Aumua, Luke Jacobson, Brad Weber and Damian McKenzie.
