The Springboks can breathe a sigh of relief over flyhalf Handre Pollard after his English Premiership club Leicester Tigers reportedly gave an update on his latest injury.
Pollard was a last-minute withdrawal for last week’s Premiership semi-final between the Tigers and Sale Sharks due to an undisclosed ailment.
According to a report on Rugby365, Leicester revealed that the seasoned playmaker picked up a lower leg injury, but he is not expected to be sidelined long term.

His standout performances for the English outfit over the 2022-23 campaign has been a great news story for SA rugby, and the World Cup winner is earmarked to be a key figure for the Boks in a massive 2023 season.
However, the 29-year-old’s injury battles are well documented and he missed the end-of-year tour to the UK and France in 2022 due to a knee problem.
