Boks to play in Buenos Aires

The Springboks' final warm-up Test before the World Cup will be against Argentina in Buenos Aires on 15 August.

A week after the conclusion of the Rugby Championship, the four big southern hemisphere teams will play an additional round of matches in preparation for the World Cup. The match will see the Boks return to Buenos Aires for the first time since 2005 when they defeated Argentina 34-23. The All Blacks and Wallabies will square-off in their final pre-World Cup Test at Eden Park.

The Boks will begin their Rugby Championship campaign against Australia at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane on Saturday 18 July before returning home for back-to-back Tests against New Zealand and Argentina respectively in Johannesburg on 25 July and in Durban on 8 August.

New Zealand and Australia will kick off the tournament in Christchurch on Friday 17 July, while the clash between South Africa and Argentina at Kings Park will conclude the tournament.

Each team will face each other only once in this format, with the winner crowned following the match in Durban.

The Rugby Championship will start a fortnight after the Vodacom Super Rugby final on 4 July with the last round of matches concluding on 15 August, giving teams just over a month before launching their World Cup campaigns.
