Jake White has rejigged the Vodacom Bulls lineup for a rematch against the Griffons in the Currie Cup at Loftus Versfeld on Friday.
Hooker Jan-Hendrik Wessels comes in for Johan Grobbelaar with Francois Klopper lining up alongside him, swapping places with Mornay Smith, who has been named among the replacements.
In the second row, the lock combination sees Ruan Vermaak pair with Janko Swanepoel, who comes into the fold in place of Ruan Nortje. The back row has captain Marcell Coetzee, alongside blindside flanker Cyle Brink and No 8 Nizaam Carr.
At the back, Embrose Papier will have a new partner at halfback as Chris Smith starts at 10 with Johan Goosen moving to fullback. Goosen’s switch sees David Kriel move to left wing this week, where he will link up with Cornal Hendricks on the right.
Meanwhile, Chris Barend Smit replaces Harold Vorster at inside centre, Stedman Gans retaining his spot outside him.
Simphiwe Matanzima, Joe van Zyl, Reinhardt Ludwig, Mihlali Mosi, Keagan Johannes and Sibongile Novuka are set to make an impact off the bench, where Wandisile Simelane returns from a hamstring niggle.
The Griffons held out to claim a dramatic 32-28 victory over the Bulls in Welkom in round 6 of the competition for a first win in the Premier Division since 1999.
