Bulls’ Visagie out for season

Vodacom Blue Bulls hooker Jaco Visagie has been ruled out for the remainder of the season through injury.

Visagie picked up a serious ankle knock against the Sharks in Durban a fortnight ago and further assessments revealed ligament damage. He will be on the sidelines for the rest of the year.

Together with Jannes Kirsten (ankle) and Roelof Smit (wrist), the trio have joined the Bulls' ever-growing long-term injury list which includes Irne Herbst, Piet van Zyl, Hanro Liebenberg, Callie Visagie, Morné Mellett, Dennis Visser, Nic de Jager and Etienne Swanepoel.

The Pretoria-based team play their final round-robin Currie Cup game against the Pumas on Friday, with coach Nollis Marais set to announce the match 22 on Wednesday.
