The Vodacom Bulls have boosted their options in the backline with the acquisition of an experienced Cape-born all-rounder for next season.
A trusted source at the Bulls has confirmed to SA Rugby magazine that Pumas flyer Devon Williams has put pen to paper on a deal and will call Pretoria home from 2023-24.
Williams, who can play fullback, wing and flyhalf, featured prominently in the Lowvelders’ fairy-tale 2022 Currie Cup title win, and top scored with seven tries last season as well as set up plenty more for his teammates en route to the final.

The 31-year-old first rose through Western Province’s ranks, excelling in U18, U19, and U21 teams. In senior rugby, he impressed in the Vodacom Cup before making his Super Rugby debut for the DHL Stormers in 2014. He also joined the South Africa Sevens Academy.
He reunites with former Pumas teammate Sebastian de Klerk as the latest signing by the Bulls, in what will be a significant boost to Jake White’s back-three selections following the news that Willie le Roux, Sergeal Petersen and Jaco van der Walt will also make Loftus Versfeld their new stomping ground.
