Canes rest All Blacks

The Hurricanes have made six changes for their match against the Rebels in Wellington on Friday.

All Blacks flyhalf Beauden Barrett, winger Julian Savea and prop Ben Franks are being rested, while hooker Dane Coles is out with an elbow injury.

That sees James Marshall given the No 10 jersey, Matt Proctor on the left wing and Ben May at tighthead.

In other changes to the team that beat the Highlanders in Dunedin, lock James Broadhurst returns from a one-match suspension to replace Blade Thomson (concussion), Callum Gibbins comes in at openside flank for Ardie Savea (dislocated finger), and Jason Woodward returns at fullback in place of Nehe Milner-Skudder, who moves to the bench.
