Argentina winger Santiago Cordero will join Connacht from French club Bordeaux-Begles for next season, the Vodacom United Rugby Championship outfit has announced.
Cordero, 29, has scored 29 tries in four seasons with the Top 14 outfit and is set to arrive at the Sportsground after this year’s Rugby World Cup.
“I visited Connacht recently for a few days, and I thought Galway was a beautiful place and I can’t wait to play my rugby there,” Cordero said in a statement on Thursday.

“Connacht love to play rugby the right way from everywhere on the pitch and they’re always in attack mode, and that’s what I like,” he added.
The former Exeter Chiefs speedster is expected to add to his 45 Test appearances at the World Cup, which starts on 8 September. The Pumas are in a group with England, Samoa, Chile and Japan.
Bordeaux- chose against offering Cordero a new deal following the signature of France winger Damian Penaud and impressive performances from youngster Louis Bielle-Biarrey.
