The Sharks have officially announced the signing of Lions playmaker Jordan Hendrikse from the 2024-25 season.
The heavily rumoured transfer was announced by the Sharks on Wednesday afternoon, with Hendrikse making his first move away from the Lions, where he has played the entirety of his professional career.

Hendrikse is one of four new signings expected to be announced by the Sharks in due course, with Andre Esterhuizen, Trevor Nyakane and Emmanuel Tshituka all set to move to Durban.
The 21-year-old Hendrikse will arrive at Kings Park looking for a fresh start after struggling for consistent game time at the Lions. He broke into the Lions squad at 19 in the 2021 Rainbow Cup and scored 222 points in his first two seasons with the team.
However, with Sanele Nohamba making a successful transition from scrumhalf to flyhalf after joining the Lions from the Sharks, Hendrikse has been limited to five starts this season.
Curwin Bosch has dominated the No 10 jersey at the Sharks, but with Boeta Chamberlain being allowed to leave and Lionel Cronje starting his transition into coaching, Hendrikse will provide much-needed depth and competition in a key position.
