SARugbymag.co.za readers had their say and voted Cheslin Kolbe the standout Springbok on Saturday after a try-scoring performance in the loss to the All Blacks in Auckland.
In his first Test start of the year, Kolbe dotted down in a diving finish in the corner as the Springboks went down 35-20 to the All Blacks at the Mount Smart Stadium.
Kolbe finished the match with 98 metres – the most of any player in the game – from nine carries, beating three defenders in the process.
In a poll run after the final whistle, 79% decided that the winger was the best on the park for the green and gold.
80% of readers also felt that Kolbe was incorrectly denied a try in the first half, when he challenged All Blacks fullback Beauden Barrett in the air and grounded the loose ball. The try was denied as the TMO ruled that Kolbe had lost the ball forward while trying to gather and ground it.
