Kolisi faces several weeks out

Springbok and Stormers captain Siya Kolisi is expected to be unavailable for up to six weeks due to a knee injury.

Kolisi was forced off the field in the 26th minute of the match between the Stormers and Hurricanes at Newlands on Saturday night, after a late tackle from hooker Ricky Riccitelli.

The 28-year-old Kolisi underwent a scan on his left knee on Saturday and it revealed he suffered a grade-two medial ligament tear. As a result he will likely be ruled out for at least six weeks.

The Stormers, who eventually beat the Hurricanes 27-0 on the day, next take on the Bulls in Cape Town on Saturday.
