Roc Nations Sports was launched in 2013 as a sub-division to Jay-Z’s entertainment company. The sports management sector was apparently founded on the hip-hop mogul’s love for sports, and aims to support athletes in a similar way that Roc Nation has sought to support artists in the music industry.

The illustrious sportsmen also in the Roc Nation Sports stable include five-time world champion boxer Miguel Cotto, along with baseball players Robinson Canó and Andre Ward.
