The Lions have boosted their options in the back row with the acquisition of a dynamic all-rounder for next season.
Loose forward Hanru Sirgel joins Ivan van Rooyen’s charges from Griquas on a loan deal.
The agreement means that the 25-year-old will return to the Kimberley outfit at the start of their Currie Cup campaign.

This is Sirgel’s second stint with The Pride, having joined at the beginning of the 2022-23 season, but his stay was cut short due to injury.
Able to play blindside flanker and No 8, Sirgel made his debut for Griquas in round 1 of the 2021 Currie Cup, having previously represented the Pumas in Super Rugby Unlocked and the 2020–21 Currie Cup.
