Sanele Nohamba will start at flyhalf for the Lions in the Currie Cup clash against the Cheetahs in Bloemfontein on Saturday.
Scrumhalf Morne van den Berg and centre Rynhardt Jonker are the only two players to keep their place in the starting backline from the side that suffered a narrow defeat to Griquas in Kimberley last Friday.
Quan Horn, Rabz Maxwane and Edwill van der Merwe form a strengthened outside back combination, while Nohamba has been called to start at flyhalf.
Francke Horn adds muscle to a back row that also features Emmanuel Tshituka and JC Pretorius, while Ruan Venter starts in the second row.
