Luke McLean has replaced David Odiete at fullback for Italy's match against England in Rome on Sunday.
Odiete injured his neck against France last weekend and has not recovered in time.
There are two changes to the bench, with uncapped South African-born flank Abraham Steyn replacing Dries van Schalkwyk and flyhalf Edoardo Gori coming in for Kelly Haimona.
