Moody at loosehead for All Blacks

Joe Moody replaces the injured Wyatt Crockett in the only change to the All Blacks’ starting lineup for Saturday’s semi-final against the Springboks.

Crockett suffered a groin strain during last weekend’s win over France, with the All Blacks having already lost first-choice loosehead prop Tony Woodcock to a tournament-ending injury.

Due to Crockett’s unavailability, Moody is elevated from the bench, while Ben Franks comes into the match 23.

All Blacks coach Steve Hansen said the team was ready to tackle the Springboks after a good week of preparation.

‘Though we've met [the Springboks] many times over the years, we've only played three times at the World Cup and these cup finals matches are totally different. They have a live-or-die nature to them and both teams will be desperate to advance.’

All Blacks – 15 Ben Smith, 14 Nehe Milner-Skudder, 13 Conrad Smith, 12 Ma'a Nonu, 11 Julian Savea, 10 Dan Carter, 9 Aaron Smith, 8 Kieran Read, 7 Richie McCaw (c), 6 Jerome Kaino, 5 Sam Whitelock, 4 Brodie Retallick, 3 Owen Franks, 2 Dane Coles, 1 Joe Moody.
Subs: 16 Keven Mealamu, 17 Ben Franks, 18 Charlie Faumuina, 19 Victor Vito, 20 Sam Cane, 21 Tawera Kerr-Barlow, 22 Beauden Barrett, 23 Sonny Bill Williams.
