Former Springbok head coach Allister Coetzee has enlisted the services of a Vodacom Bulls coach to boost Namibia’s 2023 World Cup campaign.
Coetzee’s Namibia are in Pool A at the World Cup, alongside hosts France and title-challengers New Zealand as well as Italy and Uruguay.

To help South Africa’s neighbours negotiate this challenging group, Coetzee has called on the services of one of the assistant coaches at the Vodacom Bulls.
According to Sunday newspaper Rapport, Pine Pienaar will be joining Namibia as his contract with the Vodacom Bulls will not be renewed after the current season.
Pienaar will serve a similar role to the one he performs in Pretoria, looking after Namibia’s defensive systems.
“My role at Namibia is as an assistant coach with a view to defence. I am incredibly looking forward to it. To be able to go to the World Cup is a dream for any player or coach,” Pienaar told Rapport.
