Sanele Nohamba will switch to flyhalf in one of three changes to the Lions’ starting lineup for the clash with Scarlets in Llanelli on Saturday.
Lions head coach Ivan van Rooyen has largely stuck with the same combinations that lost 15-10 against Benetton in Treviso.
The headline change sees Jordan Hendrikse drop to the bench, with scrumhalf Morne van den Berg promoted to the starting lineup.
Nohama shifts to flyhalf as a result. It will be the 24-year-old’s first run in the No 10 jersey in the Vodacom URC for the Lions, although he has played in the position in the Currie Cup.
There are two further changes in the forward pack, as Corne Fourie replaces injured loosehead prop Morgan Naude, while Ruan Delport partners Ruben Schoeman in the second row.
Veteran prop JP Smith is the new inclusion on a bench that features a six-two split, with Hendrikse and utility Rynhardt Jonker as the replacement backs.
