Wales centre George North announced on Wednesday he will retire from international rugby following this week’s Six Nations match at home to Italy.
North and Nick Tompkins were restored to the starting XV to face the Azzurri on Saturday, after surprisingly excluded against France last week during the Welsh’s fourth defeat of the championship.
The 31-year-old North, who has won 120 caps, said on X, formerly known as Twitter, it was the “right to time step away”.
