Wales could turn to a residency-qualified prop from the fabled Paul Roos Gimnasium to strengthen their scrum.
According to WalesOnline, Ospreys tighthead prop Tom Botha is a strong contender to become the latest South African to represent a northern hemisphere nation.
The 32-year-old has been with the Ospreys since August 2018, having represented Western Province, the Southern Kings and Cheetahs during his time in South Africa.

He was eligible to play for Wales in 2021, but because he wasn’t capped that year, Botha has had to wait until 2023 to become available again due to the change in the residency rule from three years to five years.
Wales have questionable depth at tighthead prop and may turn to the South African to solve their scrummaging woes during the 2023 World Cup.
