Pocock out of Championship

David Pocock has been ruled out of the last two rounds of the Rugby Championship after breaking his left hand.

The 28-year-old Pocock underwent surgery on his left hand in Perth on Monday, after suffering the injury in Australia's 36-20 victory over Argentina on Saturday.

Australian team officials confirmed Pocock may be available for the Wallabies' third Bledisloe Cup Test against the All Blacks in Auckland on 22 October, as well as the end-of-year Tests in Europe.

The match against Argentina in Perth was his last on home soil for some time, however, after the flanker confirmed that he will take a sabbatical from rugby in 2017.
