In a poll run by SA Rugby magazine, the overwhelming majority voted in favour of SA Rugby prioritising a full-strength Currie Cup over taking part in the Rugby Championship with limited game time.
On Twitter, in a poll that saw nearly 1,000 votes cast, 74% of people said it would be better to see a local competition remain the focus rather than seeing the potentially undercooked Boks head into the Rugby Championship.
A graphic was also run on Facebook asking the same question, and again fans weighed in overwhelmingly in favour of domestic action taking priority.
POLL – Should the @Springboks play in the Rugby Championship with limited game time under their belts or rather participate in a full-strength Currie Cup campaign?
