The Springboks have confirmed that Handre Pollard and Lukhanyo Am will travel to the UK after being included on a nine-player standby list for the World Cup.
Pollard (calf), Am (knee) and Lood de Jager (chest problem) were the three notable ommissions when the Springboks announced the 33-player squad for the World Cup in France.

The Springbok coaches were hopeful that the 2019 World Cup-winning trio may return to full training before the start of the tournament and be available for call-up in the event of injury.
It was confirmed that Pollard and Am will be among the five players who will travel to the UK with the Springboks for the remaining two World Cup warm-up games against Wales in Cardiff and the All Blacks at Twickenham. They will be joined in the UK by Joseph Dweba, Thomas du Toit, Jean-Luc du Preez.
The other players on the standby list are scrumhalf Herschel Jantjies, No 8 Evan Roos and loosehead prop Gerhard Steenekamp, who recently made his Test debut against Argentina in Buenos Aires.
