The Sharks have ramped up their recent player negotiations by securing the services of an inspirational figure for the Durbanites on a long-term deal.
Sharks loose forward Phepsi Buthelezi has committed to extend his stay at Kings Park by re-signing until 2026.
His contract extension comes on the back of the renewal by Springbok flyhalf Curwin Bosch, who has already signed on for another three years.
The 23-year-old Buthelezi has enjoyed an impressive start to his career at the Sharks since his senior debut in 2019 and remains a promising future talent for the Durban side.
A former SA Schools and Junior Springbok skipper, the Durban High graduate has featured for the Sharks in Super Rugby, the Vodacom United Rugby Championship, the Champions Cup and the Currie Cup and captained the team on several occasions.
