Defending champions, the Pumas showed their class and returned to form with a resounding victory against the Griffons in the Currie Cup on Saturday.
The home team dominated proceedings, leading 31-12 at half time and going on to score seven tries to secure a bonus-point 45-25 win at Mbombela Stadium.
Pumas flanker Andre Fouche was instrumental, opening the scoring with the first of his two tries in the match. Devon Williams, Kwanda Damaza, Anele Lungisa, Llewellyn Claasen, and Wian van Niekerk, too, crossed the whitewash.

Flyhalf Brandon Thomson also played a crucial role, kicking 10 points to help steer the hosts to an emphatic result.
Although the visitors managed to claim a bonus point with four tries of their own, they were no match for the dominant Pumas, but coach Jimmy Stonehouse may be disappointed with the late yellow cards shown to Lungisa and Andrew Kota.
With Saturday’s win, the Pumas remain second on the log, while the Griffons are still struggling at the foot of the table with just one win after nine rounds in the competition.
