His followers have dwindled to just one account, intriguingly, Scotland – their World Cup opening round foes in Marseille.

Erasmus candidly shares his thoughts and indulges in moments of levity on social media although he ignited a viral storm last year – and copped a two-match ban from World Rugby – for contentious tweets and videos during the Boks’ November tour Tests against Ireland and France.
